Is 1000-Lb. Sisters All-New Tonight?
This month, 1000-Lb. Sisters is set to start airing Season 5 of the hit reality series. Season 4 was filled with emotions. Amy Slaton (then Halterman) gave birth to her second son, Glenn. She was rushed to the hospital during her pregnancy due to indigestion. At the same time, Tammy Slaton was getting discouraged because she could not reach her goal at the weight loss facility. She was combative with the therapist and she just needed to get to a certain weight to be approved for her surgery. Finally, she achieved her dream and got the procedure done with her family by her side. She also found love in fellow patient, Caleb Willingham.
The two got married at the facility and she was over the moon excited. Tammy started out by being able to show her family the ring and celebrate her engagement. After the season ended, she was released but Caleb was not ready to go home. This caused a strain in their marriage as the pounds kept dropping off Tammy. Additionally, Amy’s marriage to Michael Halterman fell apart. Caleb also passed away unexpectedly at the age of 40. This is all said to be documented in Season 5 so is that starting tonight as there are two episodes on TLC’s guide? Nope.
The new season of 1000-Lb. Sisters will actually begin on Tuesday, December 12th. So, what episodes will be shown tonight? At 8 pm, it will be the Season 4 premiere which states this:
“Having survived yet another brush with death, Tammy recovers at rehab, but a new scare threatens her life; the family adjusts to life without Tammy; Amy’s big surprise stuns everyone.”
As for the second episode, it is conflicting based on TLC and the regular guide. One says that it is still the Season 4 premiere while the other says it is BTS with Amy and Tammy. Either way, fans of the show cannot lose.
Season 5
Right now, the reason that 1000-Lb. Sisters is airing tonight is twofold. First off, My Big Fat Fabulous Life had its Season 11 finale last week. The second is that TLC seems to be prepping viewers for the upcoming season of the Slaton sisters and family. So much is in store and it will be great to finally have Tammy healthy and at home where she has wanted to be for so long. There will also be answered questions about her relationship with Caleb and where it stood at his passing.
