90 Day Fiance works to unite people from around the globe with their lovers. The non-American people come to the US on a K-1 visa and have 90 days to be with their partner. During this 90-day period, the couple gets to know each other and decides whether or not to walk down the aisle.
The show is now on its 10th season. And Ashley and Manuel are one of the season’s cast members. The couple was previously in a long-distance relationship but then called it quits. They still stayed in touch and have now decided to give their relationship a second chance.
However, there are still many hurdles for the two. This includes the fact that Manuel hadn’t told his family that he was leaving for the US with Ashley. And he hadn’t told Ashley he was keeping this secret from his family. Read to know how the two sides reacted.
90 Day Fiance: Manuel Reveals He Is Hiding Something From His Family
As Manuel is a non-American, he has to move to America to live with Ashley due to the show’s format. So Manuel left Ecuador and is now living in New York with Ashley. However, he didn’t reveal an important plan detail to his family and Ashley.
The 90 Day Fiance star didn’t tell his family he was permanently shifting to the US. And so his ‘folks’ thought it was a temporary move for work and that Manuel would return soon. But this isn’t where Manuel’s secrets stop. Apparently, Manuel hadn’t told Ashley that he had kept this secret from his family.
He did eventually reveal it to her, and poor Ashley was distraught. She confessed to the cameras that she was “shocked.” Ashley went on to add, “I think my first reaction is ‘Why? Why aren’t you saying anything?’”
Manuel’s fiancé is also concerned if his secret is because of her, “Are you nervous about leaving them?” But then Ashley reasoned that “she can’t control anybody.” She also talked about “just give(ing) my opinion” when “he’s is choosing to handle” things.
Manuel eventually told his parents about how he’d be living in the US permanently. Of course, the 90 Day Fiance star’s mom got emotional about her leaving. But this made things awkward for poor Ashley.

Ashley Michelle is working hard both on and off-screen. The 90 Day Fiance star is hard at work, hashing things out with Manuel on the show. And when she’s off the camera, she is working on herself.
The TLC star recently showed off her weight loss on Instagram. During an Instagram Q&A session, a fan complimented Ashley: “You are looking amazing!” The star had replied by posting side-by-side before and after shots of her weight loss.
In her “before” photo, Ashley was in a sports bra and leggings at home. Her “after” photo was a present-day gym selfie, but she looked slimmer. She was again in a sports bra and legging set but working out in the gym this time.
Michelle also thanked the comment by captioning her photo with – “Thank you babe. A ton of hardwork, discipline & commitment.” In a TikTok video, she also said she’s “the happiest I have ever been in my life.”
