The audience has so much love for the franchise’s first same-sex couple. Armando and Kenny met through a gay father’s online support group. They had a long-distance relationship and are now living together in Mexico. American Kenny and Mexican Armando are now a family of 3, which includes the latter’s daughter.
The pair recently wanted to add another member to their family and were planning for it. However, before that could happen, the 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way couple’s existing family faced a devastating loss. In 2022, Kenny and Armando’s beloved pet Truffles died. The pup was 18 years old, and his death broke the pair’s heart. At his owners ‘ wedding, Truffles was also the ‘Pet of Honor.’ Even their other dog, Mika, misses her sister.
But life has to go on. Kenny and Armando had gotten a new puppy, Toffee, whom they had introduced on Instagram. But even this wasn’t meant to be for long. Less than two years after Kenny and Armando got her, tragedy struck the family again as Toffee got into an accident. The pair took Toffee to the hospital to try and save her. But the pup’s heart had stopped, and she died.
The couple was devastated by the loss and shared the news and their feelings on Instagram. Their co-star Loren Brovarnik had expressed his sadness in the comments. He wrote, “Ohhh I’m so sorry to hear that! Sending you hugs!!” Another 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way co-star Statler had sent hugs. Fans had expressed grief and shared similar stories. Two such losses, one after the other, had been very hard for the couple. Especially when they had already experienced such grief once before.
90 Day Fiance: Armando & Kenny Express Their Grief For Truffles
Truffles’s death had been devastating for the 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way couple. Kenny had expressed his grief on Instagram. The star had written about how he had spent “almost two decades with this beautiful calm & gentle soul.” He also wrote about how Truffles had “an exciting life. Kenny thanked his late pet for bringing comfort to his life, ending the post with a “see you again someday, Truffles.”
Armando, like his partner, had also loved Truffles very much. The Mexican native had also posted the heartbreaking news on his Instagram. He reminisced how Truffles had come to Mexico with Kenny. And the sweet angel had enhanced his and his daughter Hannah’s life by being in it. He revealed that the darling dog had passed away peacefully in the couple’s bed.
In his post, Armando talked about how Truffles “brings joy to heaven.” And in the end, he wrote – “We love & miss you Truffles”. The TLC pair wanted to extend their family by having another child. They are thinking about either having the baby through surrogacy or IVF. They are also open to adopting a child from Mexico. But there is no news yet about their progress,
