What do officials know about Caleb Willingham’s death?
Last season on 1000-Lb Sisters, fans watched Tammy Slaton fall in love during her stay in rehab. She felt that Caleb Willingham was her perfect match and couldn’t wait to say “I do.”
The two married at the end of the season, despite some pushback from family members. They worried that Tammy and Caleb hadn’t spent enough time together and that their marriage wouldn’t last.
Reportedly, the pair went on to have serious cracks in their relationship before Caleb tragically passed away. RadarOnline.com managed to obtain a report from the Gibsonburg Police Department that provides insight into his death.
According to the report, 40-year-old Caleb Willingham was found unresponsive at the Windsor Lane Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Ohio. Investigators were allegedly unable to get in touch with Caleb’s doctor at the time. They were hoping to get information about possible pre-existing conditions that could explain his sudden death.
RadarOnline.com shares that the paramedics attempted “life-saving measures with unsuccessful result.” Sadly, they were unable to revive Caleb and they pronounced him deceased on June 30, 2023.
The responding forensic investigator deemed that Caleb passed away from medical issues, but decided to send his body to the coroner for an autopsy.
The medical examiner allegedly told the publication the autopsy was finished. However, they’re still waiting for the toxicology tests to come back.
“Medical staff were on-scene with the patient when he became unresponsive. During this Officer’s involvement with the incident, there were no indications of any criminal activity. This death investigation is concluded by this department,” the official police report reads.
What’s next for Tammy Slaton?
At the time of Caleb’s death, he and Tammy’s marriage was reportedly over. Reports indicated that she was making remarkable progress with her weight loss journey. However, she grew frustrated that Caleb wasn’t putting in the same effort. This apparently put a strain on their marriage, especially when Tammy moved back to Kentucky to be with her family.
When the new season premieres, 1000-Lb Sisters viewers will understand more of the situation. It’s unknown what Tammy will do next, but fans wish her the best during this difficult chapter of her life.
